Midnight Blue Volume One Enters Production

Eagle-eyed residents may have spotted some odd goings on this evening when a man dressed as a large bird was seen hanging around outside Tunbridge Wells' Trinity Theatre.

On a rainy summer evening principal photography began on the first full series of Samuel Marlow's Midnight Blue, an eight-episode web series about an amateur crime-fighter.

Arriving in the evening after shooting his feature film All About Town during the day, Sam rolled cameras a small cast and crew for the first scenes from the first full volume of the web series. The scenes focussed on the mysterious Sparrow, referred to in the pilot series, but not yet seen.

Local actor Matthew Turbett will reprise his role as the Man in Midnight Blue, along with unnamed Homeless Man and Tim Crown (Julian Maple), though this series predates the events of the pilot series. We will see how Nathan Ward end up taking on the role of crime-fighter, as well as meeting a host of new characters from the town of Forest Spa.
